Email Tips

1. Create labels – Gmail lets you create and color code labels so you can easily sort emails into specific folders

  1. Personalize your email in a way that makes sense for you, either by teacher or class or teams

  2. You can also create sub-labels

2. Archive – The Archive button removes an email from your inbox without sorting it into a label or folder but allows it to still be searchable

3. Search mail function – Keywords are important and allow you access emails that have not been deleted no matter where you have them sorted or if they archived

  1. You can search by the sender/receiver or by text that is from in the subject or body of the email

4. Starred – Flag important emails by clicking the star icon to save for later reference

5. Delete – Use the Delete button with caution because it is much safer to Archive emails for later
