As a Kent School student or employee, you are eligible for a free digital subscription to The New York Times, which includes access to their full archives back to 1851.  To start your account please follow these steps:

1. From any computer on campus, navigate to nytimes.com/passes

2. Follow their steps to create a free account using your Kent School e-mail and ANY password (it should not be your network password).

3. Check your Kent School e-mail account for a verification e-mail message, and click the link inside it to activate your account. Once your account is activated, you will have digital access on all devices with this logon.  You can download mobile apps by visiting nytimes.com/mobile if you wish.

4. Go to The New York Times online and log in with your Kent School username and password you just created.

5. Find archived issues of The New York Times  from Volume 1, Number 1 in 1851 - 2002 on the NYT TimesMachine.

The Wall Street Journal is easier to access, because it's not tied to individual accounts, but at this time this only works when you're on the campus network. Simply click http://www.wsj.com/highschool for full access to the regular edition.

The New Yorker digital subscription is new this year! We will still have the print edition in the library, but you can now access the digital edition from on-campus - simply click The New Yorker

The Economist has been added to the list of full-access periodicals available to our community.  No individual login/subscription is needed; anyone on the campus network can view the full publication and archives back to 1997 by clicking https://www.economist.com/
